i believe however small the projectile, it still needs licensing and will never be "turned down" by authorities only because it is "too small" a caliber. just the fact that it can be used for "sniper" purposes already puts more weight to its capabilities, if this is true.

given that what i posted is a picture of my Colt HPR in enfant form, which was formerly a full-length HPR, i guess your reason is valid. the reason why i choose it is because it already has a tread for silencer attachment, however, given your apprehension, i'll volounteer my m14, since it is still stock and shoots accurately.
