SCEJ President Hiroshi Kawano introduced a PS Vita info session earlier today. Detailing "everyone's PlayStation Vita", he announced a price drop for Japanese models right from the outset. Starting from February 28th, the price will drop down to 19,980 yen for both the 3G (previously 30,000 yen) and WiFi (once 25,000 yen) models. Yep, both will receive the a substantial price-cut alongside a a 7-day free trial of PS Plus, plus a free download campaign for its Torne TV service until the end of March. No word on whether the rest of the country will benefit from the same price reduction -- maybe we'll hear more on Wednesday?

Kakabadtrip nga. Sana hinintay ko na lang ang pricedrop. 18k pa ang bili ko ng bundle, baka ngayon mga 9 to 10k na lang siguro ang vita. Sana babaan rin nila ang price ng memory card, masyado ring mahal.

Wala ngang magagandang games na lumabas sa vita. Okay pa siguro pag nagrelease sila ng NBA 2K sa vita.

I wouldn't be surprised kung walang magagandang games ang vita. Isang taon na ang vita pero nasa flop central pa rin... so di ka na talaga magtataka kung wala masyadong third party support dito. Pero I hope na that price drop would turn out in favor sa vita because as far as I know the 3ds would drop alot of good first party games this year... like monster hunter and pokemon x and y.

problem lang kasi dito if you want to enjoy the vita you should go for the 3G version  which is very expensive for an average person actually for a Student (high school and College) i mean expensive , your paying monthly for 3G plus you will rarely see a person who's using it

problem lang kasi dito if you want to enjoy the vita you should go for the 3G version  which is very expensive for an average person actually for a Student (high school and College) i mean expensive , your paying monthly for 3G plus you will rarely see a person who's using it

Kailangan ba talagang 3G version ang dapit mong bilhin para ma enjoy ang vita at bakit?

You don't really need a 3g vita... All you need is a wifi vita and a phone with tethering... Problem solved. Ako I'm not going to waste another 2 to 3k peso for a feature na di ko naman halos magagamit.

with both 3G and Wifi priced at $215... its a smarter move to go 3G

for me limited games kasi to ee , i rarely see kids using this kahit ka-age ko (24) wala akong nakikita masyadong gumagamit neto  siguro meron pero sa bahay lang which is (wifi connection) pero 3G i dont think so

think about it go for a 3G version para kang nag dual cellphone na naka line tapos Highschool or College student ka lang?

kasi po walang may VITA , para silang rare pokemon na mag aappear sa screen mo  Plus it's a waste of money monthly to pay the 3G service which i believe is AT&T lang ang may hawak sa North America

I wish they would also drop the prices of memory cards since it's really pretty expensive. Last time ko na check ng 32gb vita mem card sa toy kingdom it cost around 3700 php... Pwede ka nang bumili ng 1 tb external hd with that money.
