DND to buy P67.6-M worth of 5.56mm bullets

MANILA, March 20 (PNA) -- The Department of National Defense (DND) said it has allocated P67.6 million for the acquisition of 13 million pieces of 5.56mm M855 bullets.

The bullet is used by various models of the M-16 automatic rifles currently in service with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Looks like we are stocking on ammo ...also it came after the announcement of procurement of 63,000 m4 carbines from remington company u.s.a. ... this is good so that the modernization of the AFP should start from the infantryman level
