Hugh Jackman said he is "heartbroken" that the latest X-Men movie was leaked on the internet and hopes the culprit will be caught.

Jackman, who not only stars in X-Men Origins: Wolverine but also produced it via his company Seed Productions, said he was upset for everyone involved in the movie that an unfinished version was posted online last week almost a month before its launch.

"It was heartbreaking for everyone involved in the film. We worked so hard. For that to happen I mean it is crime, it is a very very serious crime," Jackman, who plays the fictional Marvel Comics superhero Wolverine, said.

"It's a serious crime and there's no doubt it's very disappointing - I was heartbroken by it," he told a news conference after he earlier zoomed in by helicopter to an event in Sydney Harbour to promote the film.

The leak sent production company 20th Century Fox into a spin as it tried to stop one of the year's most anticipated movies being spoiled. Fox News columnist Roger Friedman was fired after posting a review of the pirated movie.

Jackman said he was heartened by the fact that most of the online community condemned the leak, and he was confident that the culprit would be caught.

The film is a prequel to the three X-Men movies and is described as the first chapter in the saga, in which Wolverine is united with other legends of the X-Men universe in a revolution that pits the mutants against forces determined to eliminate them.

Sana next time kung my leak yung edited na para todo na ang saya. hehehe ( ang sama ko! ) seriously, siguro sa kanila na ang problema kasi for sure sila ang may hawak ng copy ng film. Dun sila magalit sa naglbas ng copy.

ahhh so you mean unfinished version pala tong napapanood ko right now.. just downloaded from a site.
kaya pala the graphics are not right..prang overlayed pa lang ang graphics.. akala ko tinamad sila.
unfinished version pala.. di ko mna to i continue panoorin sayan..pangt ang graphics hahah

SOBRANG LINAW NAMAN NUNG LEAKED NA VIDEO!! AMPNESS TALAGA NUNG NAGLABAS NUN... buti na lang di ako nanuod nung pinanuod ng mga dormmates ko yun. kasi isa ako sa mga masugsugid na fans ng XMEN mula pa nung pagkabata saka mga aral sa buhay at pa-uugali ko ngayon napulot ko sa kakabasa ng Marvel comics at kapapanuod ng mga palabas nila. Ba't ganun-ganun na lang na pinirata na lang basta halos DVD quality pa. Paano na lang kaya gun::kung di na gumawa ng sequel si Jackman? Sakit sa dibdib isipin, buti na lang di ako nanuod...

Pananaw ko po publicity pa din ito... Well, good or bad publicity is still PUBLICITY... Sa tingin ko mas makakatulong pa nga itong pag-leak na ito sa sales ng movie itself. Kahit na mga nakapanuod ng incomplete version would still want to watch the complete and edited version. And also this will cause sympathy to all movie goers na din... They would rather watch it sa movie house and i think will still buy the pirated one... Well haka-haka lang po... hehehe

depende yan kung malinaw ang pag ka copy nito maganda to panoorin tapos naka HD tV ka plus Home theater system. kawawa nmn ung nasibak na news writer.

kakapanood ko lng kagabi ng leak version...
nakakapanghinayang talaga at nagkaroon ng leak, ganda pa naman ng istorya...
although kulang kulang yung effects, maiintindihan mo pa rin at parang dvd copy pa...

kakabili ko lang ng mga DVD kagabi for Holy Week at isa dun yung XMen Origins. Gulat nga ko DVD quality siya kaya binili ko agad. No harm meant, matagal pa kasi showing and wala naman mapanood during Holy Week. tsaka atleast mauulit ulit mo pa.
