I say it's a re-make for the reason na All-Filipino ang cast with the same story/plot. Sa tingin ko rin is nagbayad ang GMA-7 sa original producer ng tele-nobela para payagan silang ire-make ang movie.

i don't watch the program pero kung naging katawa tawa ang kinalabasan ng bawat episode... i guess you can call that a "spoof"

Dude it's all business... san sila? sa subok na or sa experimental? yung marimar kasi ang daming nagimbal dyan 10 years ago. Ngayon, they try to make a pinoy version. Successful naman sila. So they just tried to edit some parts of the story parang yung setting eh Pilipinas naman.

Pare simple lang yan... IT'S ALL BUSINESS... walang kinalaman writers ng GMA kung wala silang maisip. Proposal lang yan ng projects, at tingin nila kung ano ang patok yun yung gagawin nila...

I wouldn't call it a spoof (the show), it's kind of a remake. A spoof is something you see on Bubble Gang (which is a ripoff MadTV and SNL).

We Filipinos are really good at imitating others and their works. We generate ideas from others' ideas.

The sad thing is, the Marimar story will not work for the intelligent Filipino viewer. If they followed the original, then the time would've been set in the 90's. These days, no young woman in her right mind is as naive as Marimar.

It's so sad that Philippine television doesn't offer shows that improve people's intellect. Mostly, there's no substance.

The same can be said with the music industry. The number one culprit is Lito Camo and the shit he makes.

So you guys, if you like Lito Camo's music, don't buy the original. He's killing the music industry while making money. Why don't we just kill it all together?

am not saying that marian is really a spoof, am just asking!

well, for me.. she's damn perfect for the role.. she's doing it right that's why people of the philippines love her that much. i've watched a couple of episodes of Marimar and i've noticed that there are some changes in the story like dingdong, in the original story the guy is supposed to be a soccer player but since such sport is less popular here, they made him some kind of an F1 driver..

maybe it's the call of money and all of this is just business!

wag ka magagalit ha, natatawa ako sa battle suit ay costume pala ng mga zaido lalo na yung helmet! mas bilib pa din ako sa shaider, limited pa lang ang computers noon pero yung mga effects e astig.. di tulad ngayon halatang 3D.. plus yung mga kalaban, hindi nakakatakot.. halatang costume! ang tingin ko kaya patok yan kase maraming nanonood na mga bata! pero yung the rest..
