A: Some forum boards require membership to a forum group.

What is the difference between a Forum Group and a Social Group?

A: A Forum Group controls your permissions or what you can do/see on the Forum. A Social Group membership does not affect your forum permissions, but only gives you access to that Social Group created by another member.
