there would be a jumper on the motherboard usually near the cmos battery, labeled "jcmos", or "cmos", and the like, just move the jumper from one end of its 3pins to the other then back. that's it, you're done.

but, i think you may have a memory problem rather than a cmos problem.

i dont think its necessary to tinker with the jumpers. I dont recommend dat. Even i dont tinker with it. I just leave it at default settings. Only tinker with it when absolutely necessary, when all other means have been exhausted. Delikado kc yan,baka magkamali ka

most likely battery ang problem. Palitan mo lng muna ng battery. The good kind wil be around 100,the cheap kind mga 25.

pag ganun pa rin then lets try to c what else we can do. Wag mo muna kalikutin ang jumpers

tama si sir bodieph......try to replace the battery first......then pag di umubra........just pm me......i will help you....pupuntahan kita.......baka magkamali ka kasi sa jumper......delikado nga yan......... sorry.......i assumed kasi na kabisado mo ung ganoong troubleshoot.......ganoon kasi ang ginagawa ko pag hindi auto-reset ang jumper ng isang motherboard...........

------------------------------------------------

=====================

sa mobo kasi.....almost katabi yon o hindi nagkakalayo sa cmos battery......meron don na 3 pin.......ung mapapansin mo kasi un dahil bihira lang sa mobo ang me 3 pin...... don sa 3 pin....... me number yon 1 2 3.......ung jumper pin plug na plastic ay nakainsert sa 2 and 3....... then if you try to ireset yon........ eto ang gagawin mo:

          1. Remove first the cmos battery
          2. After removing the battery, remove the jumper pin plug at number 2 and 3
          3. Insert the jumper pin plug at number 1 and 2
          4. Wait until 30 seconds or you count 50
          5. Then remove the jumper pin plug  to number 1 and 2
          6. Then Insert again the jumper pin plug at number 2 and 3
          7. Then return the cmos battery
          8. Restart your pc
