How to convert .mov to .avi or .mpg

The .mov format is playable only in Apple Quicktime. To convert to .avi or .mpg for playback on Windows Media Player, so it can also be imported tot he Windows Movie Maker, I would like to share this info:

How to convert MOV to AVI
-------------------------
1) Install QuickTime (free) on your system, found at:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

2) Install RAD Video Tools (free) on your system, found at:
http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm

i simply use imtoo converter.. i convert mov files into avi (divx)

Oy yeah, forgot to mention ImTOO. I only have evaluation version but good enough to convert 5 minutes of video... i notice though that video and audio are out of syn when converting .mov to .wmv.

you have full version bodie?

and oo, medyo out of sync minsan pag directly convert to wmv. that is when you use the auto settings.. but in my case i dont experience that since i set the parameters of video bitrate, audio bitrate, etc

that depends on you. you can convert it to formats like mp4, wmv para mas maliit ang kain sa space. pero depende pa rin yun sa settings na gagamitin mo

higher settings will mean bigger file size pero mas maganda panoorin ang movie (kahit ifullscreen mo clear pa sya, hindi snowy)

personally i preer xvid format (avi) kaso medyo malaki din kain sa space so i convert to wmv (384 or 768 kbps) para mas maliit ang file. nagtitiis na lang na d full screen pag pinanood na hehehe
