NINTENDO LEADER. This file picture taken on June 26, 1996 shows (L-R) Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi and Nomura Research Institute President Shozo Hashimoto meeting in Tokyo to form their joint venture. Yamauchi, credited with turning Nintendo into a byword for videogames, died from pneumonia.
