Life without facebook
« on: February 19, 2010, 09:48:35 pm »
Co spies, good morning.

Facebook. Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life. Well, it lives its purpose. As a cadet living inside an academy, eto lang ang means of communication naming magkakaklase nung highschool aside from payphones and letters (either snail mail or thru LBC).

Everytime na lumalabas kami ng academy, ang una kong binubuksan ay facebook pagkadating na pagkadating ng bahay, ever since nalaman ko itong site na 'to last summer of 2009. Nagsimula sa paglalaro ng mafia wars, then barn buddy, then super poke pets, then farmville.

Yun nga lang, most of the time sa facebook help ako nakatutok (na hindi ko naman ginagawa before I joined facebook).

then, panic starts to work on me.

::investigate

I spend most of my time to search for ways on how to re enable my account. It took me days, but still my account is disabled.

Then I laid down on my buns and let my mind idle, free from worries and pressure. An officer of mine said that "an idle mind is a devil's playground". In the contrary, it was a place for me to think. A moment to recall and reflect on what really is the importance of using facebook.

Here I am now, typing my story of reflection on this site. As of now, plano naming mamasyal ng mama ko at kapatid ko. Tapos non, maglalaro ako ng OP7 at dota with my old friends. Mas may time na kong mag asikaso ng papers ko (for my shipboard training).

What I'm trying to say here is that: there's more out of life than facebook, or friendster or any other social networks.

I'm not against the site (except for the customer service.. ang bagal ng action) nor in favor with it. Let's just say na "graduate" na ako sa addiction ko sa facebook apps and currently on the path on moving on with my life, preparing for the better things that will come.

Co spies, if you ever reach this point, please... abstain from whatever your addiction is and have a time to reflect. Thank you for reading and have a good day.

evident na you spend your time on facebook based on your reaction.

pick an evil and live with it till the end.
