Android device as a remote controller?
« on: May 23, 2014, 06:16:42 am »
Nakita ko itong ad ng Tvolution, its says pwede daw gamitin yung android tablet or CP as a remote control. ano kailangan app para mapagana iyon?

heres the thing meron akong tablet na pwedeng ikabit sa TV. can i use my CP to control it? mirroring ang tawag doon di ba? ano bang specs need ng device for mirroring and anong app?

same question with a smartTV box gaya ng minix X5, pwede ko bang gamitin yung CP or tablet ko as a remote control gaya ng sa ad ng TVolution?

i use a universal IR remote app, nagamit ko siya  sa samsung tv pati sony. although the app itself has settings for JVC,LG,Philips, sanyo, sharp, etc

only requirement is that your phone must have IR

1) Mirroring means your Mobile device display will be output to your TV if your device has true Mirroring capabilities

in Mirroring everything you do on your tablet is reflected on your TV

2) Your TV must also be considered as "Smart TV" that has Wireless connectivity function with an additional Input Source like HDMI, PC, Component, etc on the Source Menu named Mirror or it must have what is called a WiDi or Wireless Display Device like the Netgear PTV1000

3) Tvolution is what is called as a SET-TOP BOX Device which is a small Device with low end PC specs usually powered by a Dual or Quad Core ARM CPU, has Mobile OS like Android and iOS can be put in them and has preinstalled Apps you can usually find on Smartphones and Tablets and if App markets like Play Store can be placed on it that means more apps can be installed

Tvolution much like other Set Top Boxes usually have WiDi functionality built in so if you have a Mid to higher End Android or iOS device you can Mirror your display to the Set Top Box and output it to your TV

if the Tvolution does not have WiDi then there must be a 3rd party app you can install to your Android device to wirelessly control it with your tablet

i think your question about "Remote Control" is far broader than simply Infra Red device TV style remote control

broad nga masyado yung remote controller question, since android device lang naman need ko controlin.

but thanks din kay bodie, pwede rin palang remote control ng tv as long as may IR ang phone.

====

any suggestion ng 3rd party app para sa wireless display?

hindi ko naview ang video. but yung andun sa video, that can be done in a variety of ways. yung internet, etc, basta smart TV pwede na yun kahit wala yung TVolution.

sa samsung din na phones, kung meron ka nung HML cable, sasksak mo yun sa TV, then kung ano display ng phone mo, lalabas na yun sa TV, no need to do anything else. ginawa namin to dati nung pasko, nag 4pics 1 word kami.

other phones pwede rin pero of course iba na yung cable kasi yung HML ang dulo nun is para sa samsung na phone. BUT i know yung ibang phones pwede rin pero iba ang cable na gamit

i just download the apps of my cable service provider which is Comcast , sign in my account then viola the apps connected to the DVR box provided to me by comcast , it's the regular box they give

i can watch live tv or on demand movies , stream episodes of tv series
